Hello, this is the tutorial for all of you who don't know much about this game. It was released in 2014. as a direct successor of Stronghold Crusader, therefore is very similar and has very similar gameplay style, but also a lot of changes were introduced.
Where can I get the game and where do you play multiplayer?
You can pirate the game for free if you want to play single player only, but if you want multiplayer, you will have to buy from some store, for example g2a or instant-gaming etc. It costs 2-3€ and the delivery is instant. You will then be able to play in multiplayer over steam.
There is an average of 500 people in-game at any time, which makes this game about 4-5 times more active than stronghold crusader 1 on gameranger.
What is changed?
- Redesigned. The game is now in 3D and looks beautiul. Optimized for all resolutions. You can choose between Low, Medium, High and Ultra graphic settings for additional effects.
- 1pt and 15pt times available.
- Larger maps available.
- More units added, and existing units changed. There is now healer, which can heal troops, dervish, sassanid knight etc etc. Shields now cost 80 gold and is still very powerful.
- Fear factor, moat and anti-sins walls are completely removed. It is important to mention that many bugs still exist in this game, but mostly not gameplay bugs. Just graphic bugs etc, for more information visit my youtube channel.
- A lot of other things...
How do experts play in shc2?
Just like in shc1, catapults are still the most powerful units in the game. So in the "no rules" rules, they are the best, and therefore games usually involve mass catapults, crossbowman, pikeman, archers, and a lot of other units... And just like in shc1, the no flying stones rule is very popular, but there its a little bit different, its "no catas on troops only", so you can still shoot towers and walls with catapults.
What do I think about the game? Should you try it/play it?
The game is good. I will not say it's better or worse than shc1, but I definitely do recommend it. For me, it was boring to just wait in rooms 3 hours per day waiting for players, knowing that they will never come... And it was boring to do the same thing over and over again, so I started shc2. Now when I have no opponents in one game, I just play the other one, that way, you never get bored or wait. Also, I would like to say that skills from shc1 in a very large amount apply to shc2, and opposite. If you are expert in shc1, you will need 3x less time than people who didnt play shc1, to become expert in shc2.
